Pharmacological group: Dermatoprotective agent.
Description: Clear, colorless, similar to syrup, odorless, hygroscopic, liquid with a sweet taste.
Composition: Glycerol – 21.25 g;
Distilled water – up to 25 g;
Pharmacological operation: It’s characterized by a dermatoprotective action, softens skin and mucous membranes. Glycerin helps to activate metabolic processes.
Indications: Dryness of skin and mucous membranes.
Using rule and dosage: Lubricate affected areas of the skin and mucous membranes.
Special indications: Glycerin can be used to dissolve boric acid, protargol, tannin. It used as a basis for the preparation of ointments and other drug forms.
Glycerin practically does not penetrate through the skin, but it penetrates well through the mucous membranes.
Pregnancy and lactation period: The use of glycerin is possible during pregnancy and lactation by indications.
Side effects: Long-term use can cause skin irritation, allergic reactions.
Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to glycerin.
Production form: 25g in a dark colour polymeric material or glass vial.
Shelf Life: 3 years.
Storage conditions: Store at not more than 25ºC temperature, in a protected from light place, keep away from children.
