PHARMACOLOGICAL GROUP: Laxative agent.
DRUG FORM: Capsules.
COMPOSITION: Dismembered fruit of Rhamnus cathartica (Fructus Rhamni catharticae) – 0,297 g.
Aiding substance: Calcium stearate..
Powder of Rhamnus cathartica fruit consists of anthraglycosides (4%), among them frangulicemodin, chrysofanol, (same as glucofrangulin), ramnoxatin (frangulin) and frangulic-emodin bioside – Rhamnus. Powder of the fruit also contains tanning matters, carbohydrate, organic acids, anthocyanins, pitch, flavonoids (quercite, ramnetin, cempferol, rhamnocitrine).
PHARMACOLOGICAL OPERATION:
Rhamnus capsules Rhamnus capsules have diarrea action that is stipulated with containment of anthraglycosides. The above mentioned substances irritate gut interoceptives and strengthens peristaltic, it acts on large intestine and stipulates its quick dismantle.
The laxative effect after 8-10 hours. Delayed action of the drug mainly on the large intestine due to the fact that the collapse of anthraglycosides in the intestine occurs gradually. The active ingredient in a sufficient amount to advance laxative effect accumulates only the time to reach the colon.
USING RECOMMENDATION: IT IS USED IN COMPLEX THERAPY, AS AN AID MEAN:
It is used at the time of atonic and spastic constipation. Besides principal action, it reveals anti-inflammatory, spasmolytic, covering and bactericidal characteristics. It is recommended at the time of colitis, hemorrhoids, rectum ulser and wounds.
CONTRA-INDICATION:
• Additional sensitivity toward the components compounding in the preparation.
• Hemorrhoidal bleeding.
• Chronic cholecystitis.
USING RULE AND DOSAGE:
1 capsule once in a day before sleep, every second day, no matter mealtime. Duration and interval of taking is determined individually.
CHILDREN AGE: Not known.
SIDE EFFECTS: Abdominal pain, spastic nature, flatulence, nausea, vomiting, discoloration of urine, allergic reaction.
CAUTION: The product is assigned caution during pregnancy and lactation, with liver and / or kidney failure in the postoperative period in the abdominal cavity.
PREGNANCY AND LACTATION: Not known.
